Alternative foreign policies – World domestic policy.
Nordic Peace Academy/TRANSCEND-Nordic
Workshop Jondal, Norway, 3–7 August 2009.

TRANSCEND has a project with that name, we have had meetings in the USA and Japan on the subject, and the climate and economic crises make it more relevant than ever. The old model was foreign policy as an expression national interests, the compelling model today is to attune foreign policies to each other, also aiming at a joint world domestic policy, the great formula by the late Carl-Friedrich von Weizsäcker. Our task is to explore this.

The venue is Jondal at the Hardanger fjord, 1.5 hour from Bergen, arriving 2 August, leaving 7 August (transportation from and to Bergen airport those days if you tell flight and hour).

  • 9-13: Workshop at Jondal school 500m from the hotel (tea/coffee included in the course fee)
